All Birth & Beyond services are individually tailored to meet the unique needs of each client and family. A pre-birth registration is completed to match the family with the doula. A visit is then arranged between the family and doula, if desired. Registration is encouraged as early as possible to ensure a doula.

Pregnancy Fatique Or Bedrest Care (AP)
Extra rest for the new mother or assistance with children and household as pregnancy progresses. Our Family Care Assistants lovingly care for children and household during this important time. Especially helpful for women on restricted activity or complete bed rest during pregnancy.

Labor Support Doula (LS)
Doulas of North America (DONA) certified Labor Support Doulas help to have a more relaxed and satisfying labor and birth experience, decreasing the chances of a cesarean section by as much as 50%! Birth & Beyond Labor Suport Doulas assist any woman - whatever her goals for the birth (medicated or non-medicated). Birth & Beyond Birth Doulas also specialize in natural birth and vaginal birth after cesarean (VBAC).

"First Night" Services (FN) & "Night Care" Services (NC)
Reassuring help and guidance is also available during the sometimes stressful ‘First Night’ home with your baby(ies). A specialized ‘First Night’ Postpartum Doula will assist with newborn care and prov. Postpartum Doulas are also available for families needing extended night-time newborn assistance. A terrific help for mothers of multiples or for premature babies!

Postpartum Doula (PP)
The Postpartum Doula is carefully matched to the and family to provide comforting, knowledgeable, personal assistance in the immediate postpartum period with: postpartum mother comforts, newborn care, breast/bottle feeding, sibling care and adjustment, meal preparation, errands and light housekeeping.

All services are individually tailored to meet the new family’s particular needs. Birth & Beyond mothers are pampered, able to rest comfortably and heal more quickly from the birth experience. In-home lacation visits by an internationally board certified (IBCLC) Lactation Specialist provide professional help with any specialized lactation issues or needs.
