Incorporated in 1996, Birth & Beyond is the only accredited postpartm care service in the state of Ohio and the first Birth & Postpartum Doula service in Northeast Ohio. We strive to provide excellence in doula care to the families we serve.

All Birth & Beyond doulas are members of the National Association of Postpartum Care Services (NAPCS) Postpartum Doulas and Family Care Assistants receive initial Birth & Beyond training and monthly staff education from recognized professionals in all aspects of doula care.

All Postpartum and Family Care assistant are CPR certified, TB tested, background checked and insured.

About the Founder

Noreen M. Roman, BS, MT(ASCP), CD(DONA), MBA

Ms. Roman has over twelve years of professional experience supporting expectant, birthing and postpartum families. A certified doula (Doulas of North America), certified medical technologist, and mother, Ms. Roman holds a bachelor of science from the Ohio State University and a Master's in Business from Cleveland State University. As an obstetrical clinical researcher for six years, Ms. Roman co-authored numerous medical journal articles on the metabolism of normal and diabetic pregnancy. She has additional training and experience in lactation support and parenting issues. Both her personal and professional experience have enabled her to set high standards for Birth & Beyond doulas in providing excellence in doula care.
